COLE’S STORY
Cole was a special person from the moment he was born. He was kind, caring, comical, determined and hard working. Cole had many bumps in the road; he had his first surgery at 2 months old to remove a non-cancerous tumor. Later in life he was diagnosed with asthma, migraines and ADHD, and had another surgery almost 13 years to the day after his first surgery for 2 perforations in his bowel. Through all these bumps in the road, none of them stopped Cole.
He was an old soul who loved old TV shows, old trucks, and music. His favorite shows were the original Dukes of Hazzard, Hogans Heros and King of Queens. His goal was to one day own an old square body truck. He had an internal battle of who he thought was better Tupac, Ice Cube or Eminem.
At 9 he started his own lawn mowing business, that quickly turned into also raking leaves and shoveling snow. He had 14 clients, and he took tremendous pride in his work and making things look beautiful. He was also the person to call when you needed something done around the house, he would never say no.
Cole had 2 loves, his truck that he bought with money he saved from all his hard work, a 2003 Dodge Ram right after he got his permit. His other love was SE bikes; he has 3 of them that he would ride all around town and neighboring townships.
Cole always had a smile on his face, would stop and say hello, and make you laugh with some little comment, joke or silly face he always made.
At 16 Cole was involved in a car accident that took his life. As parents, we were faced with the tough question of donating Cole’s organs. When Cole got his license, he was asked if he wanted to be an organ donor, he didn’t know what to say. We told him that if that is what he wanted, he had time to make that change to his license. So, when they asked us the answer was yes, because we know that Cole would have wanted it no other way.
Cole will be missed, never forgotten and loved always.
